We have the opportunity to go to Texas in a few months and we are thinking about visiting Corpus Christi. Have any of you been there? Can you reccomend where to stay, what to do? Thanks

Yes, I have. It's a pretty place on the Gulf Coast of Texas. It's been at least 20 years since I have been there, so my hotel recommendations wouldn't help. You may want to consider visiting Galveston while you're there.

Stupid should hurt!

We have family in Corpus. The Texas State Aquarium is nice. There's a huge navy boat right by the aquarium, although I don't remember the name of it.

The Padre Island National Seashore is fun if the weather is good. We've also been to Mustang Island several times and Port Aranasas to 'check things out'.

If you like fishing you can charter a boat and fish in the Gulf of Mexico. They have the BEST shrimp you can buy fresh at the docks....

I don't have any hotel ideas as we stay at my in-laws condo on Padre Island. There are a TON of hotels out there though... if I was going I'd stay on PI rather then in Corpus. It's only about 15 minutes or so down the SPID (South Padre Island Drive).

Have Fun! Enjoy your trip!
