So was anyone else at Harrah's on Saturday night? I have never seen that place so crowded! There was actually a 20+ minute wait for the buffet. They had more than half of their game tables open and they were all full, with people waiting in line behind them. I would guess that at least 80% of the slot machines had people sitting in front of them also.

So is this a sign of how much Maricopa has grown? I know people from all over the greater Phoenix area visit the casino's, but I think there is definitely a much higher percentage of locals (people from Maricopa) there, especially since there aren't a lot of local alternatives -- as far as things to do on a Saturday night.

7/7/07 is what happened!!!!

Just doing it one day at a time. Change is good and it should be looked upon as an improvment! not a problem.

We were there... it was crazy. Walked in circles just trying to find an open slot machine. We did eat at the buffet, it was good. Wonder if there were any big winners on 7/7/07?

Is Harrah's the casino that has the good steakhouse?

It's called The Range Steakhouse. I heard that there food is pretty good. I am going to try to go out there this weekend for me and hubby's night out.

We've been to the steakhouse... it was good, but not FANTASTIC. A bit pricey too. Probably $60 for two adults without alcohol.

Will do. I am also going to try their buffet, but that is another weekend.

If you like crab legs/seafood, the buffet was really good. They also had prime rib, chicken, meatballs and all kinds of side dishes. They even had brussel sprouts! YUM!!! LOL

The steak house isn't bad, the buffet is cattle food it's gotten worse over the last year we stopped going in there. The Agave isn't bad but has a limited menu. The sandwich bar is good if you want a fast bite, good sandwiches.

I really like Agave, and I think the Range is great. Service is excellent also, especially at the Range.

Most of the casinos had huge promotions on 07/07/07 plus it was just a lucky day. I almost wanted to go to the casino that night but went to Ramsey's instead. Got lucky too!

I wonder if I saw you there?

I was in my 70's pimp hat?

They actually had to close the doors due to how packed it was in there.

Well not close but not let anyone else in for a while.

Yes, I believe you did. I spoke with your sweet wife for a bit when we got there. I apologize for not remembering her name right away!

Harrahs had a huge promotion on saturday...it was actually busier that night then NYE....they gave away 777 dollars every hr and then a final give away of 7,777 at 9pm....but other than it being a holiday in the casino business because of the date...the casino has gotten busier every yr because of the growth in Maricopa, at least I know the Range has. I'm sure the casino is busier as well. Harrahs is always going to be busy because of the name and the rewards you can earn not only their but at all Harrahs properties.

One of the nicest places to eat in Maricopa is the RANGE STEAKHOUSE...its not a bar, its really good and I love the service
