Alert | OK SO I was SOOOOOO nerdy with last nights show and was a complete emotional wreck. I NEVER thought it could get better than last season!!! I AM IN LOVE with PASHA and Sarah has really come out as a beautiful dancer. I would be SO HAPPY to see Danny or even Kameron go home tonight. The only girls I could part with are Jamie and even Sabra, she is GOOD but I just can't seem to get as into her as the other 3!! MY DREAM top 6 would be----- 1.Pasha 2.Lacey 3.Neil 4.Sarsh 5.Lauren 6.Dominic | | Senior Member Posts: 3899 Joined: Jan 2006

Alert | | Danny may be a brillaint dancer, but his ego ruins anything he may have going for him!! I really do think he will go tonight and I hope they figure out that when he lost America's vote was when he LAUGHED when being explained to why he was voted into the bottom 3!!! | | Senior Member Posts: 3899 Joined: Jan 2006

Alert | | yeah, ajmie got on my nerves and cameron i dont know. i feel like he was sort of stuck out in limbo. He has this b-boy vibe but none of the tricks and he really just hasnt been maturing as a dancer the past weeks. By the way, from now on i dont care if danny is a douche he is definatly the most talented dancer on the show and deserves to win. | | BUSTED!

Alert | | I just read an article about Danny and I really truly hope he gets voted of ASAP. He is a snobby dancer, and the NYTimes just proved it to me.

Alert | | Yes he is good, BUT this is AMERICA VOTING and even if you are the BEST DANCER in the world HAVE SOME HUMILITY!!!!! He will NOT WIN!!!! It takes the WHOLE package to win me over and Danny only has the dancing part!! Now Pasha and pretty much the other 6 have IT! | | Senior Member Posts: 3899 Joined: Jan 2006

She in no way directed them to not use any technique. If you watch it beck it is technically perfect. Lacey though irritating is a fantastic and beautiful dancer with almost flawless technique, while Neil has improved with his transitions a hundred fold, and in my opinion only Danny fares better technically than Neil. To be honest Travis from last season and Neil are VERY VERY similar in technique. There was an arabesque that Neil pulled early in the routine and it just EXPLODED off the floor. To say no technique...thats ridiculous.

There was no technique, i dont care how bad you want to think there was...as for the arabesque that niel pulled, where was his center? no where thats where. I am just amazed. if you liked just say you liked it but do not say that i am wrong and the routine was techniqually sound, because it was NOT. You are welcome to come over my house and watch it again (i tivo'd it). to be honest Pasha is the most advanced dancer for his style but he is in no way a performer. Danny is danny, the kid who sits in the back of the class that can get good grades if he wants to but just chooses to skate by with an attitude. Sarah totally got screwed by Shane Sparks' salt n' peppa routine. If you want to get kicked off the show just have shane do a routine for you one way ticket back home.

Alert | Actually, of the three judges two of them complemented them on it being "technically beautiful". Lets put it this way. those that can't do, critique.

Alert | Now that i made my smarta$$ comment, I agree with you on pasha. And not only is he technically proficient, but for once there is a russion dancer on the show who can actually do styles other than ballroom. His personality came out in the Shane Sparks hip hop routine that he did but other then that he is very straight laced. typical of Russian dancers.
Now lets talk about Danny, Do your research on him. He is one of the top rated dancers in the nation, here is his biography from his wikipedia entry
"Born in Norfolk, VA and raised in Virginia Beach, VA, Danny Tidwell started dancing at Denise Wall’s Dance Energy under the direction of Denise Wall and Vicky Cooke. At 15 he was invited to study classical ballet with Vladimir Djouloukhadze and Anatoli Kucheruk at the Universal Ballet Academy in Washington DC. Meanwhile, Danny got the opportunity to perform principal roles in two original shows created by Debbie Allen, Dreams and Pearl, performed at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC.
In 2001, Mr. Tidwell won the Second Prize at the International Ballet Competition in Shanghai, China and, in 2002, received the Silver Medal at the Jackson International Ballet Competition.
Soon after, Danny joined American Ballet Theatre’s Studio Company. In May 2003, he was hired as ABT’s Corps de Ballet. He performed many roles in the classical ballet repertory including Spectre de la Rose and Peasant pas de deux in Giselle.
During this period as a professional ballet dancer, Danny Tidwell performed contemporary works by choreographers Nacho Duato, Jiri Killian, William Forsythe, Kirk Peterson and Robert Hill.
In 2005, Mr. Tidwell was featured as Dance Magazine’s 25 to Watch and Pointe Magazine's TOP 10 VIP.
2005 is also the year where Danny along with publisher David Benaym, photographer Roger Moenks and Choreographer Lauren Adams, created Moving Still, a life performance, a combination between a live show and a photography art/fashion book that lead later on to the creation of Tidwell's magazine: movmnt.
In August 2005, Danny taught in Bermuda's ABT's Summer program. Continuing his works in the education of dance, Danny is now on the faculty of JUMP, break the floor, and has been invited to guest teach at many schools and studios across the country.
In 2006, Danny joined for a season, Complexions Contemporary Ballet Company, under the direction of Dwight Rhoden and Desmond Richardson.
Since June 2006, Danny Tidwell participate creatively in the making of movmnt magazine, a dance and pop culture quarterly, launched in June 2006 with a focus on dance, music and fashion. "
Another interesting tidbit is that Mia Michaels has been writing a column for Dannys magazine for over a year now. Not sure how thats not a conflict of interest.
So livin in the copasux, we are all allowed to have opinions. I respect yours, i would hope you would do the same.
