What is up with some of the people in RED walking around the neighborhood drinking beer? It's really starting to look like the hood.

Yeah, I saw a few people doing just this the other day. Than on my way down the R.E.D.parkway that same day a car was trying to pass me, in a residential area! Go figure!

Perhaps driving while drinking would be preferable? Its just good that they decided to have a beer at home and walk around rather than jump in their car, go to a bar and then try to drive home. None of us need that!

I don't think that they should be drinking and driving either. They should drink in their homes like the rest of us do. This is not a trailer park and I think it brings down the look of the neighborhood. If I was a potential buyer and I saw these people just walking around and drinking beer, I would certainly think twice about buying here. But then that's just me.

This has got to be one of the strangest threads I have seen for awhile. I don't drink but I wouldn't have thought twice if I saw someone with a beer. It sort of makes me laugh. <img src='http://www.85239.com/desktopmodules/ntforums/images/emoticons/biggrin.gif' height='20' width='20' border='0' title='Big Grin' align='absmiddle'>

Does AZ not have open container laws? In other places I lived it's illegal to leave private property w/ an open beer in your hand. Not sure why exactly. I'm sure there is a good reason. I always just thought it was in poor taste.

It is illegal in Arizona to leave your yard with an open beer or wine bottle. Have fun getting cited.......

I would walk down the street with a Rum and Coke in a cup or water bottle.. but not a beer unless it was poured in a non see through cup.

I have more respect for the neighbors than to walk down the street with it in a beer can.

It's really amazing how little respect a lot of people have on their neighbors. Outside of seeing people walking around and drinking we are constantly finding cigarette butts and dog poop in our yard. I know it's not only our yard that has this happen to. Now that the weather has cooled down I've been going for walks and I see it in a lot of peoples yards. It's just really inconsiderate and disappointing.

Also, technically a person can be sited for drinking in their front yard since it's in public view but I am sure it's rarely enforced. I don't mind them drinking on their property, I just don't want them wandering around the neighborhood making it look trashy.

You should probably gorw some thicker skin if that bothers you haha...I like to grab a beer and take my dog for a walk one of my neighbors is a cop and he has never said anything to me about it so I doubt you would be cited unless you were getting drunk in Fry's parking lot (anyhow ill take my chances)

hmmmm.... in their yard I don't see a problem with it. Now if they're at the park w/ all the kids around that's a little bit of the problem.

RED already looks like the hood. I don't think people walking around drinking beer makes it the hood. How about all of the foreclosures, cars parked in the street 24 hours a day, foil/paper in the windows, and the sad sad yards. Now that is what makes it the hood!

With a Permit... It's allowed at PP.

Common areas in the communities? I don't think so.
