On Rio Lobo Drive, there is a house that added an extension to the back of the house. I was so surprised to see this, as folks around here typically just pack up and move. I would check with the CCRs, but I think that as long as you submit an architectural plan to the association, and they approve it, you should be able to add an extension (which is my dream, as I already have a two-story house but need just a little bit more room) or a dormer, as we call a second story addition.
