Alert | Registration is everyday next week from 9-2 each day, I believe. The parent orientation meeting is at 7 pm at the elementary school in Alterra. At registration they will take a copy of the birth cert, shot records, and we have to fill out a health form. It is supposed to be at the portables on Porter Road (the temporary school location) kind of across from Pacana Park.
My daughter will be in Kinder and I am very excited about this choice. I was really concerned about MUSD and think this is the best option. I went to the parents meeting last time and was very impressed with all the answers and the organization that the two administrators have.

Alert | | I believe registration is next week from 9-2 everyday, but to decrease lines they had the days broken down by the first letter of your last name. Also I believe the registration is actually going to be over by the city library at 44302 W Maricopa-Casa Grande Highway.

Alert | | Just heard that Legacy won't be opening up until after Aug. 21st? Is this true...or just rumor? I would call to verify, but would have to wait until Monday. Anybody know what's going on? I drove past the area where the portables are supposed to be going up and their are 4 portables on wheels still...not where anything should be. And, I remembered them saying that portables would begin arriving on July 16th or 17th, I didn't see the first one until the 23rd I think, a week later. Getting nervous!

Alert | I spoke to one of Legacy's teachers and that person said they are equally concerned because it does not appear to be ready to open on time. Who should one call on this? I am new to the Legacy possibilities and know now that I will have to look to next year for my little ones to go, but interested in their success.

Alert | | I was also in last week and nothing was said about not opening on time. I think the portable issue is that the ground is too wet right now for them to be moving around on the site. Not great that we have rain forecasted for the next several days. Maybe we can all find out more this next week during registration?

Alert | | Apparently this information is stemming from a PALS meeting that took place just Friday 7/27. I have heard it from two separate sources both on Friday night. They both said Legacy can't open earlier than 8/21. NOW - I'm not sure if this is rumor and what is ACTUALLY happening. So, please understand I'm just trying to find out if it's true. That's why I asked if anybody knew anything.

Alert | Well we found out our boys will be going to two seperate schools, with one going to santa cruz and one going to MES. While we live directly behind the school here at MES.
AND the questions being asked my four year old were things my first grader didnt even learn untilthe end of his kindergarten year. Last year the testing was one on one personal testing. this year it was headphones and computers for some kids who have never even seen a computer. Makes no sense to me. almost like a setup for failure. I put in a call to Dr. Flores this afternoon.
