just my .02 but in Calif it was hard for Kinder's to go on fieldtrips due to the adult ratio needed to "keep them in line" dont know if this is the case or issue here

Not the case here in Arizona - I have taught kinder for the past 8 years and every year our students went on a field trip. We have been to Schnepf Farm, The Phoenix Zoo, The Children's Theater, The Stuffington Bear Factory, and the Science Center. The adult to child ratio is usually about 7 to 1. Usually in kindergarten you have too many parents who want to volunteer - I do not think chaparones are the problem here. Chances are if they have not reserved space at a location yet, they will not get in before the end of the school year. |
