The poll doesn't ask about giving to private schools. I would never give any money to a public school, but I do give the max that my husband and I can to one of numerous private Christian schools every year.

Proud conservatives happily living on our acreage in the beautiful mountains of Hidden Valley with no HOA.

Actually you can donate to both private and public schools. One does not cancel out the other. They are different tax credits and different amounts. I believe this poll was asking about donations to public schools. Most charters fall under the category of public schools.
