Alert | Yes, awesome school! We love it there and popcorn Tuesdays is a great idea. Friday they get out early so they aren't doing lunch at school. I like that cause I actually get to take my kids somewhere fun that day after school. My kids are excited to go to school everyday. I love that!

Alert | | Yes, we love Legacy too!!! I cannot believe how much my daughter has learned in such a short time. We don't even need an alarm clock anymore, my daughter is up at 6 every morning excited to get her school day started. | | I refuse to vote for any member of the CFR

Alert | | My 5 year old was singing tonight...a song I never sung to her myself. I guess today was music day? I also love the fact that EVERY teacher has to be licensed, and so far, all of them are aweome! Get your kids on the waiting list while you can!

Alert | Let me start out by saying my daughter does love the school and I really do like it also. But they have disappointed me in a couple of ways. The gate on the east side is consistently unlocked and the lock is hanging from the gate. Also the Friday before fall break they scared the living life out of me. I get a call on my cell one hour before school let out at 1:40 not even on my home phone asking me why my daughter had not been in school all day?? I was like what I dropped her off before 8am and that day I also noticed the gate unlocked and did call and let them know. Needless to say my heart dropped!! Me and my husband both could not understand why they were calling one hour before school gets out to ask why our daughter had not been in school !! I was VERY upset and we both went in and spoke to the principal about this matter. They also had changed systems and had our new home phone number on another screen but not on the screen where they call home. This incident has sorta bothered me and I am hoping in talking to the principal this will not happen to anyone else.
I understand that the teacher marked my daughter absent by mistake but my concern is what if she was missing and they waited all day to contact me she could have been anywhere..

Alert | Funny, each of these things happens daily at Maricopa Schools and you hear nothing about it.
Are you aware of how attendance is taken? Perhaps its not picked up until lunch? And then they do have multiple grades and teachers to review. Which would make the 140 time frame feasible. I have NEVER once seen the east gate unlocked when dropping off my child in the morning. Nor when picking up. Mistakes happen. At least they actually called you. MES wouldnt have done such a thing.

Alert | Attendance is picked up shortly after school starts definately by 9am is what I was told. Being told one hour prior to school being released is not acceptable to me if my daughter had been missing she could have been who know wheres almost six hours later. I have at least once a week told them about the gate being unlocked and the only week has been this past week it has been locked the whole week.
I am glad it was just a mistake and hopefully they will not take this lightly and make the necessary changes in regards to both situations. | | I am enough of an artist to draw freely upon my imagination. Alert | At least you got a phone call. When I had my daughter at Pima Butte I kept her home one day and didn't call the school to let them know, I never got a call asking why she was out. This was after they had her placed in 2nd grade (she was in K) and enrolled under my name. When I went to pull her out of that school all together they didn't even have her on the roster. I had enrolled her well before school started. Basically they had no idea who my child was or where she was and they really didn't care.
