mike is leaving for greener pastures. he was being set up to be a fall guy for the lack of action by the prior administration who oversaw the department. best of luck mike. Don't look back on this mess.

You are partly right, but to think the former director saw her own non-renewal coming and set into action a plan for her replacement to fail, is just absurd.

"Fall guy", yes...without a doubt. Murriet was going to take the blame for Dr. Flores' ineptitude, as will anyone else who fills the position, unless of course it's someone on the Friends and Family plan, in which case nobody will ever be held accountable for anything.
