Not sure if this has been posted yet, but this is the new MUSD website... www.maricopausd.org

Most of the independent school websites should also be updated (under "Schools" and can give you important information for this upcoming school year.

That is a great improvement...a few glitches to iron out but much better.

The only thing that pisses me off is the rule about only allowing bike riders if they live one mile from the school. There is no reason why some kids who live two miles or more can't ride a bike if they want. They want our kids to exercise and discourage them from getting a 4 mile bike ride in everyday.

As a teacher in the district, I am in no way saying that your kids can ride their bikes to school... BUT,  if you want them to ride their bike to school, let them.  No one is going to check, or ask your child when they arrive in the classroom how they arrived to school.  I knew a lot of kids that rode to school last year that lived pretty far away, it was just up to the parents to make that decision.  I believe the "one mile mark" is used so that kids will be guaranteed a bus ride and not be FORCED to walk, ride their bike or find their own way to school.

I heard that it is finally about to be announced that this is an active website. Before, when this infor was released, the district was still working on it, so the information on it was out of date. As soon as you see a real news release about it, then it will have up to date info on it.
