On Saturday, March 8, 2008 Make A Wish will be having their annual Walk for Wishes. Zack's at it again. Even though he has had a very rough last nine months, he wants to do the walk again. He said "Mom, it's only a mile. I can do a mile". Last year, Zack, then six, headed up our team (Zack's Pack, of course) and raised money to help fill a child with a life threatening illness's wish. We're in! We haven't signed up yet but we will soon. My wife had her wish granted in 1995 out of Orange County California and she still talks about that trip! And she was actually going to do a walk in the past but was too sick so this will be nice. What was Zach's wish by the way (if you don't mind sharing)? Also, can we both sign up for the team by going to that URL? Or do we need to sign up individually? We'll send it around to see if we can get some donations!

Great! Zack's wish was a trip to DisneyWorld which ended up with a trip to SeaWorld as well. We stayed at Give Kids The World Village, which is a place only for wish children and their families. It was an amazing trip! You can sign up there or start a team. Whatever you want to do will be great!

Go Zach, Go! I am so glad to hear that Zach is going to do the Walk for Wishes! I will find some donations for Zach's walk.

Thank you! We (and Make A Wish) appreciate any donation (time or money) we can get. You have your choice of a 1 mile Family Walk, 5K Walk and 5K Run if you wish to participate.

I can only say that this Foundation is outstanding. We will be cheering for you Zach. My daughter had a wish over 14 years ago and it was amazing for her. She was treated so incredibly, we were overwhelmed. I hope everyone who reads this can help out. These kids are some of the bravest people I have ever met and continuously humble me. sjs.......if there is anything I can do please pm me. Have you approached any of the business here to see if you can display a donation tin. I'd be more then happy to help get them out there. It's just a thought. Let me know.

Yes, Smilingchic, MAW is an outstanding foundation and these kids are the bravest (and strongest) people I have ever met. I have not contacted any local businesses. Wouldn't tins be difficult to keep tabs on? Unless a business would like to do the fundraising themselves and then donate to MAW. Do you have some businesses in mind? Tomorrow is the walk! I'd like to thank those who are doing the walk and those that have helped raise funds. I'll see some of you tomorrow.
