 Alert | Our Cowboy band, Katy Creek performs regularly at National Festival of the West which is coming to Rawhide Western Town March 13-16th 2008.
One of the Festival directors contacted me today and said they are looking for hosts for some of the performers. Host Family Programs are more and more becoming an important part of Western Music Festivals. The program promotes community involvment as well as interest in Western Heritage and the performing arts in general. Hosting a performer means you provide a bed and shower for one the many entertainers ( or a whole band if you've got room!) that will be at Festival of the West. There are many perks to being a host; You get to meet and spend time with some of the best performers in Western Music today You might host a musician ( musicians=jamming, can't be helped....) a famous trick rider or roper, gun spinner, poet or Western Novel Author. Your family, and young people especially, get aquainted with professional people in the performing arts in a genre that promotes a clean, drug free, quality, honest way of life, and The Cowboy Way; Not to mention that for participating in the host program you get tickets to Festival of the West.

Alert | Darn I will be in Northern California that week! This sounds like it would be fun and interesting to host a performer!!
In So Cal we had the Cowboy Poetry Festival and my daughter volunteered to work the booths every year! It was fascinating!! | | | |
