Alert | Mr. & Mrs. Santa Claus will be here for one more weekend and then must head back to the North Pole to get ready for his famous Christmas flight.
We've given the Fire Department 3 huge boxes of food and 3 huge boxes of toys so far. We've got one more weekend to collect more stuff. They will be passing all the stuff out on Monday.
MARICOPA you've done GREAT!!!!! We thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We know that there will be less families here in Maricopa that won't have anything. And more smiling faces on the kids!!! | | Senior Member Posts: 4625 Joined: Feb 2006

Who cares? What these two do each year is incredible, the collect boxes of toys and food for the needy and deliver them to the Fire department. The time they spend sitting outside each weekend and the money they spend in tokens for the kids and decorations to make children smile is worth its wait in gold. Maricopa needs more citizens who care as much as they do. Bless you both!

Alert | I am pleased to say that we doubled last years attendance and donations thanks to the wonderful people of Maricopa. I would like to say a big thank you to Rusty (MFD Chaplin) who came to pick up all the stuff. We loaded his pick up truck fill and then had to came back for another trip.
We gave out 227 candy canes to smiling faces. That's a lot of kids.....The candy canes is how we kept track of the number of kids we saw. Thank you to Mawi Wowi for spending the evening passing out their wonderful smoothies. You guys rock!!!! A great asset to the community.
We'll continue to do our Holiday Tradition as long as we physically can and people come to visit. If we can make one child smile on Christmas then it's totally worth it.
Thank you again to all of Maricopa for opening your hearts and filling the faces of the less fortunate families. We'll see you again the first weekend of December and we'll do it all over again. | | Senior Member Posts: 4625 Joined: Feb 2006

Alert | Yes THANK YOU! We loved it! My boys were thrilled to see Santa right here in Maricopa. We loved not having to wait at the mall. Your dog was adorable. See the cute picture we got!

Alert | | We ended up seeing all of the houses on a Thursday night with my daughter, so we missed the Clauses, but we still loved driving around. We really enjoyed seeing all of the creativity in Maricopa, and look forward to the continued tradition of seeing the lights around where we live. The houses in the Arcadia area had nothing on most of the houses in Maricopa. What a great place to live! Thanks to all who spent time making the city beautiful for all of us! | | Yes, that's really my name
