Alert | Yikes - sorry this is a little late getting out!
We collected about $600 in cash for the library and hundreds of books! My husband picked up the last of them last night so we do not have a total count yet but there are lots!
Thank you so much to all the community members and local businesses who participated to make this a successful drive!
Special thanks to Sarah Jones (one of the VP's of the PALS board) for collecting and donating $450 of the $600 cash we received. She had lots of tickets and won some cool prizes!
While this summers book drive was a good start we still have far to go! While more donated books are of course wonderful...cash donations are even better! Legacy has a Media Specialist who is excited to get the library up and running but it will take money to do it! If you want to make a donation to the library please make your check out to Legacy PALS and specify in the memo line that the monies are for the library!
Now on to our winners!
Sara Jones - Golf for two at The Duke Sara Jones - $50 GC Remarkable Walls Sara Jones - 1 day rental from JJ Bouncer Carlos Vavin - Ramseys GC Jennie Treadway - Native New Yorker GC Sheryl Hauth - Studio Charme GC Lisa Frarck - Cotton Blossom GC Dawn Spolidoro - Cotton Blossom GC Carrie Goettl - Home is Where the Hound is Gift Basket
Thanks again to the local businesses who CHEERFULLY supported our book drive! They all gave without hesitation!
Also special thanks to Will and Cindy Dunn for allowing The Stage Stop Market Place to be the drop off point and for making the raffle tickets available to people dropping off books! They offered to help without being asked! Thanks so much!
Two more weeks until Legacy...hooty who!
