We are closing on a home in Maricopa and I am commuting my daughter to Legacy for 2 weeks - from Mesa. I am there from 11:40-2:40pm with my 2.5 year old. I have looked into volunteering - and it is amazingly hard to find somewhere to give away FREE help when you have a toddler.

I have 18 years experience teaching and administering child care facilities and private schools. I spoke to Tutor Time - to barter office help for preschool classes - and they can;t accept office help for liability reasons.

Sooooooooo - any ideas? I was thinking humane society, etc

Try the library - Casa Grand Hwy just east of 347.

Need a tax write off? Donate to the Maricopa SALVATION ARMY EMERGENCY SERVICES FUND.

Make a Difference, they have many opportunities.  You can do short and long term projects.  I've done a few neighborhood cleanup functions.  They have reading programs for children in shelters as well

They have recently changed their name to Hands On Greater Phoenix.

I'm thinkin' thisone is worth while.

BTW if your looking for a tax writeoff, well, that's kinda selfish I think.

Hi Mamahope, did you go to the Santa Cruz PTO meeting tonight? I saw you there and I was going to say hi but you left before the meeting was over due to the weather. Hope you liked it and that you got enough info.
