This semi-annual used book sale offers patrons a wide variety of genres including: Romance, Science Fiction, Children's, Biographies, Cook Books and more, at a great deal. The Friends Group provides paper grocery bags, and patrons can fill these sturdy sacks up with as many books as they would like for $5.00. Yes, that's only $5.00 per bag of books!
Many genres sell out quickly and patrons are encouraged to arrive early. Some items are priced individually, such as Children's books at $.25, and multimedia items starting at $.50 such as videos, DVD's and CD's.
Patrons will also have the opportunity to purchase Reflections of a Desert Town vol. II, Maricopa's own history book, for $25.00 each. Home Cookin' from Maricopa, Arizona, a collection of recipes by local residents and published by the Friends of the Library will be sold for $10.00 each.
All proceeds from the sale go to support the Maricopa Community Library and it's programs and services. Proceeds from the sale of Reflections of a Desert Town, will specifically support a History room for the Library.
