Alert | Oh, I love In-n-out! You know, it's a perfect business model too. Offer a limited menu, do it really well, and don't bog yourself down with a bunch of different things that only a few people want. Makes sense to me.
If we ever do get one of those, we will know that we've arrived. | | Stupid should hurt!

Alert | meh....if you want an in and out burger, go to sonics and order two of their sonic burgers.
They're are virtually the same, and taste the same. In and out burgers are hype in my oppinion.
I rather have something different like a Chick Fil A

I love in and out! | | Just doing it one day at a time. Alert | | I'd ultimately like to see more non-fast-food restaurants out here, but I've gotta admit that sometimes I get a craving for a Big Mac or bacon, egg, cheese buscuit! I can feel my arteries hardening just thinking about it...

The In-n-Out in Casa Grande will be open about the same time as the Maricopa McDonalds is. <img src='http://www.85239.com/desktopmodules/ntforums/images/emoticons/wink.gif' height='20' width='20' border='0' title='Wink' align='absmiddle'>
McDonalds itself isn't going to bring growth, rather it is a reflection of the belief (a righteous belief, in my opinion) that growth will soon be on the horizon again in this town. We've had a period of relative stagnation which is probably going to continue in the short term. But it will not last, and will be replaced with the kind of growth the planners at McDonalds are expecting.
I don't particularly like McDonalds, its a personal thing. But I like what its arrival here means, if for no other reason than that it condemns the "this will be a ghost town in five years" crowd for their silliness. McDonalds, love 'em or hate 'em, does not build in dying towns. Take heart in that. <img src='http://www.85239.com/desktopmodules/ntforums/images/emoticons/wink.gif' height='20' width='20' border='0' title='Wink' align='absmiddle'>

Alert | | Absolutely right gila guy. Businesses like Mcdonalds will not put themselves in a location to fail. If they thought this would become a ghost town they would never come near it.

Alert | | I think it is good to have the commercial side of life here in the Copa! If you don't eat at McD's that is up to you and same goes for the germ infested play area. I always let my kids play in there you can't shelter your children from everything. I always had them wash their hands after and they weren't allowed to play then eat play then eat. They had to be done with their meal then play as not to contaminate their food. I have a degree in ECE and worked in many daycare centers and I have news for a lot of germ a phobes out there if your child is currently in a daycare or has at one time attended one your child is exposed to plenty there too! Day care centers do steri wipe the toys at the end of the day but, what do you think happens all day long? Yep, germs are being exchanged. As far as all of the dentists getting more business that is up to the parents and how well they are educating their youngsters at oral hygiene. I too, currently work in the dental field. All of this neg. stuff is about the parents and how you raise your little ones. Unfortunately there will always be pros and cons all around us and our family it is how you deal with these that matters. Then it becomes to each his own. | | Live every day as if it were your last and smile!

Alert | Its just a food joint, we have Jack in the Box, KFC, Sonic, Taco Bell, Dairy Queen, Long John Silvers, Arby's (I am sure I am missing more of them). There are hundreds of homes still going up all over town. WalMart and Home Depot, drive through Starbucks......this place is going to be just like Gilbert, sometimes I forget that its not Gilbert five years ago.
I didnt go in the McDonalds in Gilbert, Chandler or anywhere else. I think the drive through is the closest I have come to going in a McDonalds in many years now.
I dont take my kids there because I am not one of those parents that negotiates with my kids on what they want...wah wah...I am getting whatever we are eating, I dont need kids to help me to do that, I go get it, I order it, then I bring it to them and they eat it.
July.......I will be one happy McMuffin Eating, Big Mac swallowing resident of Maricopa

Alert | | i love IN-N-OUT too.....and i used to like mcdonalds fries...but ever since they changed their oil to appease the vegetarians out there...the taste has suffered in my opinion....i dont see us getting an IN-N-OUT anytime soon...it took them forever to come into the populated parts of arizona due to the fact they were and probably still are family owned...i know when i used to work for mcdonalds as a store manager...my owner was baffled how someone with such a limited menu could do so well....ill give mcdonalds several guesses....how about courteous servers....fairly good speed considering its all made when you order it...and the big number one....they speak ENGLISH!!!! at IN-N-OUT....anyway...id still be happy to get a mcdonalds...love their breakfast items | | *formerly known as inyrfce2* Senior Member Posts: 797 Joined: Dec 2006

And their menu isn't limited either. Just because they only post three items on the signboard doesn't mean there aren't numerous "other" things available to order! But you didn't hear it from me.
