Seems like everyone is blaming the homebuilders that keep building homes and increasing the inventory which lowers the price of the homes.

Has anyone given any thought to blaming the cities...not just Maricopa but all the cities in the Phoenix metro area. The builders will keep building if they have land that needs to be developed. The land is paid for and they need the cash and they will build at any cost. They maybe losing money on the homes but they are losing a lot less money than to have the land sit there undevelped. The cities should be limiting the number of permits that are being issued. One of the reasons Maricopa and other cities are not limiting the permits is because of the impact fees that they receive from the builders.

I am not taking sides but the cities should take part of the blame for the downturn in the market.
