I personally LOVE the iced coffee from mcdonalds, I would venture to say that its a borderline addiction. Its also CHEAP! (which fits my budget) I'm just curious...all this talk about smoothies, and no one has mentioned water and ice...I've had theirs, and I don't think they're half bad (depending on who's making them) any thoughts?

It is a shame that the small business owner cannot make it in Maricopa. It can't just be corporate...there are too many small ones going down due to high rent and red tape from city. If it isn't a Big Box type name, we are sunk. Nothing original in Copa

A lot of the cart before the horse is more like it, unfortunately. Not sure how franchises work, but can these guys even operate as a Maui Wowi without a store??

They bought the equipment. They just need to "unbrand it" (remove all logos) and open up MARICOPA SMOOTHIE AND COFFEE WORLD. They would still have to source all their coffees and smoothie recipes and mixes.

I think the concept of god has outlived its usefulness. It is time to put it out of its misery.

OK...so on another thread on this site I saw that Maui Wowi was at Founder's Day and will be at a school fundraiser. Does this mean that they will eventually open locally for our daily fix? If so, does anyone know when this might happen? If not, then how are they able to operate with the franchise name at these other events? I'm just trying to understand.

I wish them all the best. They are lovely people who took a chance, and tried to ride it through, but had the wisdom to stop before they lost too much. I just don't get the snide remarks from people here. No one lost a thing but the investors. To feign exasperation as though some insult was suffered is ridiculous.
