What grocery store is coming? I would love a Food City here. I heard Food City bought the Mountainside location. Absolutely. Also if I can get the rest of the funding I need for my laundromat-check-cashin'-liqueur-dollar-store-and-super -pawn-depot we will have that. Its going to be huge. Thanks, Higgs

And your strip mall should be anchored with a Gentlemans Club. But this has already been previously threaded. LMAO

Alert | | I think it's a absolute travesty that this town is excited to recieve a Wal-mart. Am I crazy or is this the most ridiclous city to live in. We moved here 3 years ago with expectations of it being nice like Chandler or Awatukee and only to be let down by poor management of this city. Bad traffic, low-income housing. We paid 400,000 thinking we would be in a great neighborhood only to see 80% of the people wanting to move out due to poor commmunity planning, traffic issues, speeders, too many homes with no employment plans, expensive business rents, and now cheap housing. My husband passed away several months ago and I cannot wait to get out of this horriblle town. If I can't sell like so many of us can't do now or ever, I am willing to let it go into foreclosure like several other families like me, just to get out of here. Handyman neighbors rip you off, people at utilities companies are clueless, people rent out their houses to just anyone, only to have them leave in the dead of the night several months later, just out of desperation to get out of this town. Grocery store lines too long and people are rude or unhelpful. There is no personal, curteous service at any business here so I do all my shopping and gas needs in Chandler.

Alert | | Like I read in the communicator one gentleman quoted that this is going to be a ghost town if something doesn't happen fast. I've talked with several neighbors and people at the grocery store and they all want out of here. My street alone has 24 empty or for sale houses....guess you could say my street is ghost town. I think we all need to giddyup on out of here and give it back to the farmers, cowboy and Indians. Because I see no future anytime soon.

Alert | Hey Sunshine, don't let the exit sign at Rancho Eldorado hit you in the butt on the way out of town. If you need some gas or something to get to Apache Junction just let us know. We'll have a collection for you. Bye Bye

Yes they all do, this will be quite a bit different, anticipation, just remember bring lots of Aloha Spirit. There will be a friends and family pre grand opening before we open the doors. <img src='http://www.85239.com/desktopmodules/ntforums/images/emoticons/wink.gif' height='20' width='20' border='0' title='Wink' align='absmiddle'>

Alert | AZ_Sunshine, do you think Chandler burst into existence with major employers, shopping malls, restaurants, etc.? Chandler was founded in 1912, they have had quit of bit of time to get to where they are today.
Thanks, Higgs | | Liberalism and capitalism address themselves to the cool, well-balanced mind. They proceed by strict logic, eliminating any appeal to the emotions. Socialism, on the contrary, works on the emotions, tries to violate logical considerations by rousing a sense of personal interest and to stifle the voice of reason by awakening primitive instincts. -- Ludwig Von Mises

Alert | | AZ-Sunshine, I am sorry to hear about the loss of your husband, that alone can cause you to want to move and start over. I too lost my husband the day before Thanksgiving 2 years ago, unexpected at the age of 48, while we were driving here from Calif. to spend the holiday with our daughter and family. After spending 3 months as a zombie I sold our dream home and moved here to start a new life, which I have. I wish you the best and if you need an ear please PM me. Amy

I find that grieving is easier over a 100% Kona Blend Coffee and daily delivered gourmet bagels/muffins and other scrumptious treats. Perhaps you could look for a counselor online with free wifi? Or just kick back in a comfy chair with some chocolate covered macadamia nuts. Or perhaps a 100% natural all fruit smoothie?
