Because there are people out there, believe it or not, who would rather legally purchase their music than risk a lawsuit by the RIAA. Not to mention some people just like having the actual CD, cassette, record, whatever.
I am actually trying to work a commercial license with iTunes where I can sell music in the store at a reduced rate, let's say $.50 per song, and you download it right there and transfer it to your iPod in the store. The advantage is the song only costs 1/2 what you would pay through iTunes directly, the disadvantage being you may only be able to have the song on one device. | |

I still visit ZIA RECORDS and there is nothing like shopping at a music store. Nothing compares to buying a cd or lp, taking it home and reading the liner notes. | |

Spoken like a musician 
After my band spent thousands in a studio to record our cd I decided that i would never steal music again. It gave me a new respect for what artists have to go through to hone their craft and make quality music. I too love Zia, and wish this place would have worked out. | |
