It will also be nice to be able to buy ammunition and fishing stuff in town

And bows!

But no guns, since walmart doesn't seem to sell guns in Arizona.

I am also not a huge fan of Walmart, but I do shop there for some things. You can't beat their prices on toddler clothes. I will pick up several "throw away" outfits for my three year old there. My 13 year old will buy his Xbox 360 games there. I am excited for it to come, I am having shopping withdrawals!!!! I know my hubby will not let me in there by myself.

Yes, but have you heard about the request Wal Mart put in to downsize from 250,000 sf to 214,000 sf? What will be eliminated if they do that?

They could maybe eliminate the auto center?

How about the garden center?

Just my guesses.

Have a nice day

They don't necessarily have to eliminate any departments or sections, just carry less inventory on many of the products on the shelves.  I have been to several Walmarts that feel a lot smaller inside, but they still have all the departments of a larger Super Center.  I sure hope they don't downsize the grocery section too much.  This town could certainly use another mainstream store to take some pressure off of Fry's.

I'd like to see another Fry's take the pressure of Fry's :o) (I'm a stockholder in the parent company). However, I do welcome Wal Mart to Maricopa.

My answer WAS "NO" to Q#5 and Q#1.
