wow dont everyone get there pantys in a bunch! first of newman i moved here because i got transferd to casa grande and didnt want to live in that hole even though im from detroit its still a hole. I had just gotten a huge pay raise with that postion so at the time a house in Ahwatukee was doable but i wanted to wait a year before i did that. So i found a home here which i do love even though im about 10 grand upside which isnt bad knowing what others are into there homes for. I knew the market was toped out i should have waited but i didnt i figured id buy this house then sell it in a few years now its looking like i will probably just rent it. i did alot of time and research into maricopa i still was blinded by my house. Were surronded by indian res. one way in one way out. The trains were to double. had a friend with union pacific tell me that. and when the housing market takes a dive the outlying areas go first! but i still didnt listen haha i figured the market would burst so quick. So to answer your question i wasnt hoping to make a butt load of money off my house in a good market a few percent a year is doable but what Arizona was having was unheard of so i didnt set my hopes on making 50 grand off my house i was doing this based of income raises that i was getting!

As far as hacienda going under it just sucks because who will carry my warranty? im sure someone will buy them im not really all that worried since im stuck with this house anyways and im sure when i rent it they will trash it!

And the maricopa meadows aka murder meadows was a joke wompus im from detroit im preaty sure ive seen enough and more murders then most people its just funny to play on words just like wompus could mean womens..well wont go there lol

According to Big Builder Magazine, Hacienda Builders is in the first stages of due diligence and feasibility for a possible sale to Montage Holdings.

Still the question remains, why close up and stop building unless you have simply run out of money and credit. Hopefully Montage can buy Hacienda (and a few others) and start building again.

The first sentence answers the second:

If Hacienda is trying to sell itself, it would want to make itself look saleable. It would want to improve its balance sheet. It would be in the lines of a baseball franchise dumping high salaries ballplayers before a sale.

They aren't so concerned with revenue as much as expenses.

The other reason could high inventory. Any more new builds would only have Hacienda competing with itself. It would only lower the value of new homes.

So what you said about running out of money/credit may not be far off. But instead of trying to sell more, they want to spend less by reducing overhead).

You may remember this from the original 85239:
Proverbs 22:7
The rich ruleth over the poor and the borrower is servant to the lender.

It's a real shame but Hacienda and other business going under.  we drove past the Chandler mall and saw TGI Fridays' was shut down and a week later is when their other facility caught on fire.

Also as far as wompus's comments of stuff going on around Maricopa and as they listed mostly Rancho for events.

The huge recent gang fight to where I heard someone got killed happened in Maricopa Meadows and 85239.com has the story on it

Also the child abduction that happened in Rancho is because a woman allowed some man move into her house and she didn't know too much about him and every morning he was taking care of her daughter and than something must have snapped and he dropped her off in Casa Grande.

But if it wasn't for that man living it would have never happened.  It wasn't like some stranger jumped the little girl's window and kidnapped her.
