No. If you don't like McDonalds, why are you living here? Some people are never happy. If you don't like Mickey-Dee's just keep it to yourself and don't eat there. It isn't like it will stink up the town like Big Cow. I just can't stand reading all this negativity in this posting.

I would like to see both an In and Out and Chick-Fil-A, they hire very polite, respectful individuals! Why is that one might ask? They are both Christian based companies! Chick-Fil-A respects family values and to this day still remains closed on Sundays! In and Out has a bible chapter and verse on the bottom inside lip of their cups! They are both companies who strive real hard to employ caring individuals.

If they cared so much, why are they selling junk food?

Where is this McD's going? If it is next to Arena like everyone is talking about there is no way it will take them until July to complete. I am looking at the building next to Arena and it is starting to look like another bank! Just what we need another bannk to hold everyones forclosures! Just kidding!

There are two buidings going up in that lot just south of Arena. One is going to be the McDonalds, the other is a QT. Grading is underway for both of them right now.

I think July was selected as the opening date because we still have some of the rainy season to go through, and each day of rain provides a delay. However, nobody wants that building sitting half-finished when the monsoons roll around in late July, since the winds will play havoc with the structure. So they'd prefer to try and wrap it up before then. ;-)

I thought the Tutor Time was also going in there? I heard the QT was going to be on the other corner on the other side of Edison? Why is the drive through going to be covered at the McD's?? I ate at Arena the other day and was really checking that new building out and clear in the back was a window and they are placing large columns as if a shelter will be built over the window area. That is why I thought it was a bank.

Hmmm, you and I may be thinking of different things then. The QT should be in that lot due south of Arena, across John Wayne Parkway from the current Fry's gas station. I'm not sure which building you're talking about with the large overhang (though if its very large, it'd probably be the high overhang they put atop gas station pumps), so I'll have to go out and take a peek. <img src='http://www.85239.com/desktopmodules/ntforums/images/emoticons/smile.gif' height='20' width='20' border='0' title='Smile' align='absmiddle'>

I also heard that the Bank was going to be first. Then McD's. When I called Tutor time then said the fall '08 or next year ('09)

WHY, are they putting another gas station on the west side of 347? It just makes no sense to keep building them on that side.

The building I am talking about is going up right next to Arena Grill. It is looking more like a bank than a McD's. Where is the McD's going in and have they started on it?? I am confused.

Yes I believe you're right, that is going to be the bank. I had it wrong, I thought you were talking about the pad next to that structure. :-)

There are three pads in that area. From what I understand after reading city documents, it appears that one pad is for the bank, one is for the QT, and one is for McDonalds. But you never know in this town. ;-)

You've got me there. :-) The press release said it would be at the northeast corner of Edison and John Wayne, which would put it in that same area as QT and the bank. But exactly where on that lot it will be is a good question.

I'm thrilled to hear more comercial development. Gila Guy, I agree with your assessment that McDonalds means we're not the "ghost town" many nay-sayers claimed .... and honestly, we need an indoor play place for kids!!!! Anyone afraid of the germs ... or to whomever said it was nasty because a kid threw up in a tunnel, ... I have news for ya, kids throw up everywhere. In resturaunts, grocery stores, amusements parks, anywhere people may go. So, aside from throw up .... bring it all on!!!!! Wooohooo Progress!!!!!!!!!
