Alert | My wife and I enjoy the cheeseburgers but usually only stop by when we're on the road going somewhere. But it'll be good to have one around for some variety.
One time I was at a fast food restaurant and someone came into the restaurant from the play area and said a kid threw up in one of the tubes. Now, that's just nasty.

Get THEM an ice cream cone?? Heck, I'll get myself one to enjoy while they play! McD's has really good ice cream cones, esp since they are only .79!

Alert | I hope those of you who don't take your kids to fast food places with play places don't go to public pools....or even private pools for that matter. Don't swim and The Hilton on your next vacation. NEVER get into a hot tub, let's heat up the bacteria and see if that's any better.

Alert | Cyndi...I think the problem is that this board has whiners and they are the ones who post the most. Y2Racer, for example, complains about everything it seems. I'm sure she is nice in real life but she rarely posts a compliment or looks at the positive. She hates fast food and she'll let you know that. She'll feel proud for sharing her views but frankly, nobody cares. Just like nobody cares about what I have to say. This forum is a magnet for negativity and that's sad. People are tired of it. We don't want a pollyanna forum but when the same people bytch time after time it gets incredibly old. I wish we had an ignore button for certain posters.
Someone said it best: McDonald's is in the real estate business not fast food. Their locations make money hand over fist. Ahwatukee has 4 of them alone, each strategically located on a major road. Burger King and Wendy's are soon to follow as is usually the case.
It's looking like 2008 will be a great year for development in Maricopa and 2009 might be even better.
Our time investment in Maricopa is going to pay off in the 2nd half of 2008 and early 2009. It will happen. | | | |

Well, that's just exactly what it is. Just like people in their vehicles....once they are on the road, because they are surrounded on all sides by glass and metal; along with everyone else on the road aside from motorcyclists...it's almost another state of mind that people take in. It's almost as if people on the roads see other vehicles and sees it just as VEHICLES and no human element = bad behavior on the road/road rage, feeling the need to act differently whereas in person they would never act like this.
Same with the internet, people mask and hide their identities or feel the need to break out of their shell and act like e-thugs, criticize and be someone different. Go to the grocery store where people are not on the internet, or in a vehicle....bump into them with your grocery cart or cut them off....I've always noticed people are more courteous in real life and not such wannabe tough guys as they imagine themselves on-line or on the road.
btw: Denna's original comment, she's just trying to make her pathetic point that since she bitched at anything that she didn't like...people told her to get out of this town if she hated it so much or acted like she didn't like it. So, the whole...if you don't like mcdonalds, get out of this town.
funny stuff.
I for one, think....well, it's another choice...better to have and not need than need and not have. Sometimes, I have that need for a big mac okay? BTW: The southern fried chicken sandwhich is not even close to the original chick fil'a Chicken sandwhich they are trying hard to imitate. | | | |
