Anyone know of the plans to demolish the ugly doublewide trailors and build a real police station and a better fire station? These are great looking professionals and they deserve better! We've given them fancy new Chargers, now give them a better place to do paperwork and jail people.

There is a brand new Fire Station on Porter Road just south of Smith-Enke. In fact the grand opening is this Friday.

Why would they "demolish" movable trailers? Fire Stations are being and have been constructed in various part of the city. The Alterra station has been opened for over a year. The one mentioned above it about to open. Others are planned. Do you ever drive anywhere other than up and down 347? The police force just started a mere 4 months ago. If Maricopa is to be like other cities, all law buildings will be together when a new City Hall site is found and subsequently built. Patience.
