It may seem like a small step, but it's progress...Terry Kingerly has been trying for months to make arrangements with ADOT and finally this Sat 10/27 a group of volunteer Chamber members will be assembled to pick up trash on a portion of the 347. I don't know which section we'll be assigned to yet. But it just feels good to finally have the ok to do something about the situation.

rescuemom.....thank-you, it's an awesome thing you're doing....it just seems like some of our tax dollars should be set aside to keep this maintained. Is it different here? Don't they allocate dollars for this?

One thing we can do to make it better is to refer to Maricopa as a CITY. I know it's hard but the more people switch over from towm to CITY the better. Heck I catch myself doing it also.

Even 85239.com sometimes slips in it's reporting as do the council. We all have to put in a effort to refer to this place as a City!

You know, Gilbert is waaaay bigger than us and goes by "the Town of Gilbert." ;-) Personally, I like it because it still gives a bit of that small-town feel...

You are right Sinbad. If we called Maricopa a city and not a town all the infrastructure problems would disappear. Maricopa would be transformed into a wonderful place. I don't see what difference it makes calling it a town or a city, can you elaborate?
