I too spoke with David Snider and he told me the same as he told Chessman. HOWEVER... if nothing is changing - then why are we going to all this trouble to change it? I like David and have always found him to be truthful. Why did he not know anything about the proposed changes under CG City Councilman Dick Powell asked him about the proposed zoning? As you indicated - Sandy and Lionel didn't know anything. Is staff not communicating something as important as the proposed zoning changes to the BOS? You'd think the BOS would want to be prepared to answer when constituents ask a question.

And if staff have not communicated adequately with the BOS prior to publicizing a 374 page document about proposed zoning changes - what makes you thing that same staff have communicated ALL the details of the proposed changes to the BOS? It's the details that can and will turn around and bite us in the butt!

Another part of the zoning changes concerns allowable home based businesses. And why do we need to spend time and money to create rules concerning adult oriented business. Let the freemarket system determine if it exists or not.

We need to have a strong turnout in Florence at the county complex on both the 19th and 25th. If you can't attend in person - send an email using the online post comment section.

For most of us with acreage, we do not want Big Brother dictating what we can and can not do on our property. That was the whole reason we bought acreage outside of the city - not to have to deal with excessive government BS regulation.

And you are very naive to believe the proposed change won't cost you money when you try and sell your property. Somehow I believe whoever drafted the 2 head of livestock per acre got the information from a state like Wisconsin where they GRAZE livestock. Someone told them you can support 2 head per acre and the number stuck.

If anyone can find the detailed article/section pertaining to allowance to remain under current zoning and the details to doing so, I would appreciate it. All I can find in a brief overview is this and in black an white it seems to say it all. It includes all areas.
I do understand they say we will be grandfathered in as current property owners, how do we differenciate .see below...

Sec. 110 1962 PINAL COUNTY ZONING ORDINANCE:
The following Articles of Pinal County Zoning Ordinance No. 61862, adopted on June 18, 1962, and as amended thereafter, shall remain in effect and be referred to as the 1962 Pinal County Zoning Ordinance: 6, SR Suburban Ranch Zone; 7

Article 1
Sec. 104 APPLICABILITY.
This Ordinance shall apply to all public and private lands and uses over which the County has jurisdiction under the constitution and laws of the State of Arizona and of the United States.

Sec. 106 MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS.
The requirements in this Ordinance shall be minimum requirements, unless stated otherwise. This Ordinance shall not interfere with or annul any other applicable Federal, State or County law, but where certain standards or requirements covering the same subject matter exist, the higher standards or more restrictive requirements shall control. This Ordinance shall not annul more restrictive requirements between private parties.

Sec. 109 REPEAL:
109.1 The following Articles of the Pinal County Zoning Ordinance No. 61862 adopted on June 18, 1962, and as amended thereafter, are repealed as of the effective date of this Ordinance: 1,

Just looking for clarity.

Unfortunately, that statement is not factual. Most developments are slated for high density, if you read this draft, it states the later more restrictive controls. There will be people "grandfathered" in still it does not detail or give assurance to such. One paragragh contradicts the other.

Changes are coming and reason's set behind them. WE can not set back and assume at this point. Grandfathered rights change as do all laws.

As residents state in prior posts they have spoken with county reps and the reps have stated anything from they knew nothing of the zoning changes, to it is false or misunderstood. They have told residents to take a stand at the mic and show up to voice opinions.

Well ,here is a quote from news article published last month showing other, showing lies and inconsistancies by our representative and his felow county employees.

"Supervisor Snider's September Letter to the District"
"And, the current revision of the Counties Comprehensive Land Use Plan is another critical tool in the arsenal:" truth was he knew of this proposal. Numerous emails where they claim to have "not known".
The fact remains the same regardless, myself, hundreds of local residents, MANY other Pinal residents and legal parties, livestock persons, horse persons, papers, ogranizations to utilize and or preserve these things are all involved, if it wwere as simple as the "county" has told you, the involvement and push would not exist.
We can not force anyone into believing the doc and what it states, but black and white says more than the empty words or promise of the one's trying to push this thru.
We do encourage people to read and read again the doc so that you can understand it in it's true form.
Though we appreciate every side to the story, as residents we can't afford to let this ride.
