Teakwoods in Chandler and Gilbert are fun but.......

Is everyone forgetting that no matter what tries too come in here the customers are still the same. If you didn't go to Ramsey's because you didn't like the crowd- than your not going to like Teakwoods either. There not bringing the fun people from Chandler with them. Duh!@!

It will be interesting to see how long it takes before someone posts a negative thread about how much they dislike whatever replaces Ramsey's.

I don't understand your train of thought. Of course I have no idea what a Ramsey is. I really don't understand, sorry.

I guess you may have a point. The Honey Bear on Van Buren is delicious, while the one on Central is not good. Is that the point that you are trying to get across?

Sort of..

People on this forum are notorious for bashing anything and everything in this town. There are several that always loved to bash the former restaraunt Ramsey's. Claimed bad service, bad food, underage drinking, and loved it when there happened to be a fight there. I never had an issue with service and thought the food was up to par with other sports bars.

Now since Teakwoods is rumored to be going in there- people, including some of the negative ones, are all excited. I am not saying Teakwoods is not a nice place- it is nice and is successfull with locations throughout the valley. Food is decent and beer is good- most locations also try to have live music on the weekends which I enjoy.

The point though is that you cannot compare a Teakwoods in Chandler or Gilbert to one in Peoria let alone the one that will be out here. You can hope the food and the beer will be the same quality but the customer base is representative of the area. The people that are going to be going to this Teakwoods are the same people that were going to Ramsey's. If people didn't like the crowd that hung out at Ramsey's than they are going to feel the same way with Teakwoods.

As far as the last comment- just hang out on the forum for a while and you will see what I am talking about.

The food at ramseys was awful. teakwoods has great food and a solid biz plan. There is no doubt that they will make it here. anything that ramsey served you could go buy at costco and i think that was the problem. that and the menu was all over the place. I ate at the teakwoods in chandler on monday and the food was great, unique and not something I can go get at costco or sams club

I guess I'm still not grasping something. I've been to both the SE valley teakwoods as I just moved from Chandler. I have never seen them have a problem with underage drinking or fighting. Just because that was allowed to go on at the American Grill doesn't mean Teakwood's management willl allow it.

This board seems severly disfunctional. But, are you suggesting that patrons will be so disgusted with their neighbors, they will refuse to eat there?

I have a lot to learn, I guess.

So that place was that bad? Like I said, it looks like a cowboy steakhouse up in Pine.

Anewman.....not a big news flash that people complain on this, and most other forums. Every business in town has been slammed at one time or another. Not even the baggers and cashiers at Frys are safe from the wrath of those who post here. I agree with some of your take on the different customer bases. A lot of people have given some of these local businesses a try once or twice and have chosen to keep commuting to their favorite places. Hopefully some of the more recognized establishments, with decent food and service keep more of the dollars local.

Funny from a "BBQ Man" who uses store bought sauce on his meat.

heard this from a friend of mine.....did'nt want to get anyone's hopes up so I waited for more info. Another buddy called the Gilbert location and spoke to the owner, who filled him in that they had an informal agreement and were just waiting on the approval of a liquor license before proceeding.
