Maricopa Thursday, October 11, 6 pm - 8:30 pm
Pima Butte Elementary School Multipurpose Room
42202 W. Rancho El Dorado; Maricopa

Tell the Pinal County Planning Director what to do!

Have you had a good planning idea, or been frustrated with a development issue and thought, if I could only be the Planning Director for a day. Well, here is your chance. Dave Kuhl, Pinal County’s Planning Director is inviting everyone to attend one of the upcoming Planning Workshops and to tell him what to do!

These workshops are part of Pinal County’s Comprehensive Plan update. This process started a few months ago and over 700 people have participated. If you have already participated, thanks and we hope to see you again! If you have not had a chance to join us, it is a great time to jump in while your ideas can have the maximum impact.

Participants at these sessions will work in small groups and will map out where they want various land uses to be. Know of a good location for a resort, show Dave! Believe that a certain mountain should be open space, tell him! Have a great location for a new road, let him have it!

The slogan for this project is: We Create our Future. That is exactly what these sessions will allow you to do. Don’t make Dave beg; please tell him what to do! For more information, please visit the website: pinalcountyplan.com or call Audra Koester Thomas at

I want to have input in this city, as I just moved here and am miserable because there has not been the growth that was originally planned. <img src='http://www.85239.com/desktopmodules/ntforums/images/emoticons/smile.gif' height='20' width='20' border='0' title='Smile' align='absmiddle'>

All things take time. This city has grown tremendously in the past 4 years. Happy birthday to Maricopa in less then a month!

See you at the meeting.

sorry for my negativity. I have a special medical circumstance that makes living in a rural environment very difficult so time moves very slow.. i should have realized that before moving here, that the market was slowing and so will growth. I guess my husband and I were just happy to have found a place we could afford to buy a nice home.

Moving any place takes time to adjust no matter your circumstances. You have only been here a little while, but once you get connected and make friends it will all be good.

i do have some friends but it's the distance that i can't drive to ahwatukee or casa grande so I am stuck home all day, as opposed to when I lived in Chandler and I was far less isolated. Actually, I am having more of a time adjusting to Maricopa from Chandler as i did from Chandler coming from Ny
