Have they done anything with the land yet?

They were grading it and are working on the HWY in front to get it paved with a turn lane and stop light. They have Porter as a dirt road right now also.

They are going to need to put in a light in at the 347 and 238..... And widen it. Once that Walmart goes in, that's going to be a bad intersection

We need a lot more trafic lights in Maricopa, especially if Walmart is coming.

25MPH in VRED: not just a good idea, it's the law.

Amen to people driving like they aren't on CRACK!

Just doing it one day at a time. Change is good and it should be looked upon as an improvment! not a problem.

Are they going to try to make this an upscale Walmart, like the one in Texas?

To get into the upscale Wal Mart you have to pass the strict dress code. Sandals are required, no bare feet. Girls must wear tube tops. Guys need to wear ripped jean shorts and old tank tops. Also, they have a ratio of 1 motorized cart per every 3 customers.

I don't think you can use the term upscale with Wal-mart. They just don't go together.....

I'm wondering if the reference is to the 2 story Walmart? I don't know anything about the layout for this one.

what does walmart have to do with this?

the fact that house prices are dropping at an alarming rate is what is going to bring ghetto people here. you can buy a house in maricopa and have a cheaper mortgage then the rent payment on a 2 bedroom apartment in phoenix. so, all the people who need cheap housing will be surrounding you any day now... wal mart has nothing to do with it.

Vinny,

As an ex Realtor, I can honestly say that it is a known fact in the Real Estate industry that Wal-Mart brings down the property value of nearby homes. Hope you do not live tooooo close to there.
