Alert | All I can find is the brochure from the developer, but gives no specific dates... though it does have some interesting new editions to the map... such as a Macayo's and a Jump and Shout Play Center for kids.

Alert | | According to my buddy (who is one of the 3 guys listed on that link posted) it's still going to happen, but the downturn in the economy has slowed progress. I don't doubt it will be built at some point, but probably not as soon as everyone thinks it to be.

Alert | I thought movie theaters had become a thing of the past with so much in home entertainment available these days. You can sit in your living room and find about any type of movie you would wish to watch. The snack bar is as close as your kitchen. It would seem to me that a theater would be hard to make a go of with all of that available on the home front. | | I have done so much for so long with so little today I can do almost anything with absolutely nothing.

Alert | | I only know a few people with the money to build a sound and video system equivalent to that of a theater. Yet I know none of them would. I go to the theater for the experience. The sound and picture is still above and beyond anything in a home theater. Sure some screens suck, but go see the cine capri in tempe... that whole setup there is awesome! Well worth the ticket price. | | All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing. --Edmund Burke

The council will want meeting chambers in the theater before it is approved.
And $750,000 in impact fees.

Alert | with a family the size of mine it was cheaper to set up my own home theater. As for experience, you'd have to be at a CineCapri for any type of real experience and the bad part of it is that theaters like that should have reserved seating, like the IMAX. I get so sick of going and having half the seats "saved" for someone who isn't even in the theater yet. Life is too short to be waiting in line, showtime is anytime in my living room and my kids love it...no lines, nature break only requires the pause button. | | Dave & Silvia Durand

Alert | DurandClan hit it right on the head. With people getting to the movies 2 hours early to wait in line, it leaves the front rows for people getting there 10 minutes before showtime. Add in talking or texting and the 'movie experience' sucks. We just bide our time and buy the movie when it comes out. Its actually cheaper to buy then it is to see it in the theater.
