Can't wait for QT to open... Need another top tier station other than Shell out here. Also, QT gas doesn't affect your millage any... if anything it's better than most other stations :cough fry's, arco, ect: If you're getting less, it's most likely driving habits. The nitrogen in tires bit... it only helps you out where temperature changes are extreme. Being that it's summer now and ranges from about 85 - 115 on average, it makes little to no diff.

I often put helium in my tires. It makes my car feel like it's floating and inturn, causes less friction on my tires.

Yes, but I am having trouble finding cheap helium. At this point, I would love to go back to paying $.75 for plain old air. Do you know of any gas stations offering cheap (or perhaps free helium? I fear I may have to go back to nitrogen or *shudder* regular air soon if the selection of helium stations does not increase. When will they be building one in Maricopa? Probably 10 years from now, lol. Oh well, back to just driving on the asphalt/sidewalks for me. :/

Why do you guys put Helium or Nitrogen in your tires if you don't know why? LOL How dumb...

GOOD - Nitrogen is affected by temperature less than air... which means your tire pressure doesn't vary as much from cool mornings to the hot afternoons. It also leaks slower than air. Less maintenance, tires running at optimum pressures reduces wear.

BAD - Helium is thinner than air which means it leaks faster and you'll have to check it more often. It also expands and contracts more with temperature than regular air...

Stop using Helium, I mean it. You're getting scammed

Its not even pure helium to begin with, its plain air with a higher % of helium. Otherwise your tires would be flat in a day or 2 since tire pressure is not enough concetration to keep massive volume reduction due to cooler temps at night.

Helium useage was a joke. Do people really use it?

I assumed you were joking, but felt the info was necessary to clear it up for everyone......just in case others were not.

I figured there were no floatings cars around, so no one used helium.
