I was told by DR Horton that from the time the slab is poured it is no later than 120 days until close. Although, with the number of houses they are building out there I guarantee there are some spec homes that would be available sooner.

Better deals on specs generally too!

This fellow they've nominated claims he's the new Thomas Jefferson. Well, let me tell you something. I knew Thomas Jefferson. He was a
friend of mine. And governor, you're no Thomas Jefferson.

What is the quote for build time for DR Horton? Just curious, as were going to be checking them out on Monday.

Just wondering if you visited DR Horton and what you decided? We are Pulte and just curious what you thought.

you talking about how they roped off all the roads? Ya that is driving me nuts too, but I just parked in the street and walked into my house to check it out.

We ended up not going with Dr Horton because they told our realtor they are not going to be offering any more of the Crown models and that was the home we wanted. We were really disapointed but I got over it when I found our "perfect home" yesterday at the Villages at Standard Pacific in Glenwilde. Now I just need to convince DH that it's "the house".

The problem with phase 3 being roped off for the last week or so is that it seems almost nothing is being done in there. Anything the contractors need heavy tools for has been on hold until they can drive in (although I did see a couple of guys scaling the fence behind the house 2 doors down Comet from us.) Our house looks the same today as it did 10 days ago. I sure hope the inspection went well today so they can get back to work.

OMG, I drove thru the neighborhood to check the status after it was closed for a week and my house was painted (the wrong color) and about 4 families have moved in. I am sooooo jealous!!!!

I can't wait to get out of my rental and into my house.... and pool and new life....

So I went to check on my house yesterday and some kids had thrown rocks through 3 of my windows and had pushed the block wall over in my backyard. It must have happened on Friday because I was just out on Thursday and all was ok. Got a few of the neighbors windows too.

I went on Thursday to check on out house and in 4 days the completely finished framing. The builder was telling me that they are shutting down for 3 weeks for inspectors to come through the neighborhood. I just want to get into my home! haha That sux about your windows, they will get theirs.

I'm so excited... my house is painted (the right colors)... I have kitchen cabinets and counter and sink... I have tile with grout.... Roof tiles are in progress.... Can't wait to get a driveway so I quit getting muddy when I go to check it out... It is so exciting peeking in windows and seeing how far they have come with me and my neighbors... comparing who got what tile or cabinets or counters... Can't wait to start meeting the people who's houses I have been admiring....

We should have done that. We are renting south of the tracks in Maricopa Meadows, and I HATE it here.

JHall, are you a Pulte or DR Horton?

Carla is great. Just give her a call and she can probably tell you. She didn't tell us how long, just said until they are done repairing curbs and other broken concrete. I hope this doesn't push back our move in dates! I was ready to move about a month ago. Oh well, September will be here soon enough!
