Just got a fresh "star" today at 6:00am thanks to a silver Nissan Titan. The rock was so big I ducked as it hit thinking it was going to come through the windshield. Looks like they did some work last night and left lots of rock debris. I too am waiting until road construction is finished to get a new windshield. It is so disappointing considering I owned my other vehicle for over three years and never needed a windshield replacement (and I lived here in Maricopa for two of those years). I own my car for 5 months and it already needs a new windshield and I'm sure plenty of paint touch-ups.

I previously had 1 trillion posts!

do you expect them to completely shut down the higway and use a push broom to make sure no rocks got away?

rock chips are a risk you take driving on any road. </div>

Roll out the red carpet too while you're at it. We have cracks and chips in all 3 of our cars, so we'll just wait till it's all done and then fix em all. Why do people whine about 347 so much..?.there were more rocks and stuff flyin' before they graded it.

I agree. I think a lot of people weren't here when the daily cavalcade of construction trucks barreled up and down 347, spilling gravel and drywall and ladders and shovels all over the road each morning, noon, and evening. Today's stuff is nothing compared to back then. I remember people's cars being impaled by pickaxes and stuff during that time period, so I'll take these tiny rocks any day. ;-)

Luck of the draw. I've needed at least one, sometimes up to four windshield replacements per year for the past seven years. Windshields and paint chips are a given out here. You should feel lucky to have not had to replace any yet.
