Who's the say for CERTAIN though that those signs are just a result of laziness? You don't know that for sure. So, if you are fine with not obeying the sign, whether workers are present or not, then it's your ticket.

It's either laziness or incompetence. Either someone forgot to do their job, or the construction company is trying to save money by not having someone replace the signs and then put them back again when they start work the next day.

Yeah, it would be my ticket, but I really don't think I'm going to get pulled over, seeing as I'm traveling in the middle of a pack going the same speed. I also feel that I'm not going to get pulled over, because I've been in a pack that has passed an officer, and the officer did not go after anyone. They're looking for people who are actually dangerous, not those who are just trying to get home at a safe speed.

One addendum (I'd edit, but then my post would get messed up), I only drive the speed limit when there are workers present. I am only driving these higher speeds with the flow of traffic when there are no workers present. I respect the danger that they're in and will only drive a safe speed (even if that is lower than the speed limit, should they forget to put a sign up).

Good. Either way as long as you're driving safe. My husband drives that road daily!!! I've seen signs with a cloth or something draped over. If they are just truly being lazy or trying to save a buck, you'd think they'd do something that simple. oh well. I can honestly say I don't care... lol.

For alanf/Sinbad: if the speed limit is posted as 45 as you state, I will go 45 and report back with how many times I was almost clipped, versus how many times I was almost clipped at the flow of traffic. I will also report back any other unusual aggressive behavior for both instances. That way we can compare and see which one is actually safer.

However, if at any point along 347, there is an uncovered 65 sign, I will stop and take a picture, proving my point.
