Ah, you're thinking of aggressive driving. Reckless driving is:
A. A person who drives a vehicle in reckless disregard for the safety of persons or property is guilty of reckless driving.
So if you were to intentionally rear-end someone (which you said you wouldn't, I recognize that, but some people do such things), especially with a brushguard installed on your car, you'd definitely be guilty of reckless driving and your next ride would be in a police car. <img src='http://www.85239.com/desktopmodules/ntforums/images/emoticons/smile.gif' height='20' width='20' border='0' title='Smile' align='absmiddle'></div>
You live in lala land <img src='http://www.85239.com/desktopmodules/ntforums/images/emoticons/smile.gif' height='20' width='20' border='0' title='Smile' align='absmiddle'> you couldn't prove you were intentionally rear-ended

Alert
the aftermarket brushguards are mostly thin wall tubing and are not strong. You'll need an 1/8" wall DOM tubing guard built if you actually want to protect your truck. although you could always trade that monstrosity in for something that can accelerate, brake and handle better all while saving you money in fuel.

vigilantism.
Do it!
Just doing it one day at a time. Change is good and it should be looked upon as an improvment! not a problem.
