Yeah Right.. Not impeding on anyone if I am doing the Speed limit. I have the right to drive the speed limit.

Once again: The law is very clear. If you are blocking traffic by traveling side by side with another car doing the same speed, you are racing.

So, are you saying you have the right to SPEED past me going 70-80 mph?

No, but you don't have the right to drive either. This is not productive towards the discussion.

If you were making the decision for safety, you would be driving in the right lane.

And you wouldn't be the poster boy for driving higher than the speed limit. If you truely were concerned about safety.

Just doing it one day at a time. Change is good and it should be looked upon as an improvment! not a problem.

I am concerned about safety. I also have a brain. Don't turn this on me when you were the one who claimed your decision to go 65 was about safety and then turn around and say you'll commit a misdemeanor.

Interesting tidbit: Pinal county is #3 for the rate of alcohol related related fatalities per 100k in population. The rate is more than 3 times that of Maricopa county. Maybe it is a good idea to just let those drivers pass...

Please tell us, what the "slow" means?

Read page one, it has been well defined.

Some clear cut examples:

Traffic speeding up after Riggs only to slam on the brakes and drop to 45-50 in a 65. Traffic rubbernecking past a police car. Two cars blocking traffic in under (or at) the speed limit. Two semis "passing" each other.

I am not turning it around. I am just saying that you are a Avocate for going faster than the speed limit.

True?

I will tell you what. You drive 70-80 mph on the 347 and I will drive 65 in the Left lane.

Let's see who gets the ticket first!

In Jason's book...

If you aren't going the flow of traffic (I.E. 70-80 mph), you are driving to slow and must move to the right lane as soon as possible so that the SPEEDERS can pass you on the left.

If I was going 80 mph and was in the left lane, according to Jason, I must move to the right lane and let the person going 85- 90 Mph to pass.

HOG WASH!!!!!

The only people who say that are people who don't really have anything to add in the first place.

Simple driving question Sinbad: Which is safer, cars passing on the right or left of you?

Let's not forget the real one....

People wanting to drive 70- to 85 mph in the Left lane when the speed limit is 65 mph.

BAM!

Yes, that is correct. That's the safest thing to do and any driving school would teach that to you too.

I could swear this thread was about "slow traffic keep right signs". They are square and white and look just like speed limit signs, but you don't want to follow them?

You forgot the word SPEEDING in your above comment.

<div class='NTForums_Quote'>Simple driving question Sinbad: Which is safer, cars passing on the right at 5-15 mph over the speed limit on the left of you? or everyone doing the Speed limit!</div>

Everyone doing the speed limit!... no need to pass if we are all going 65 mph!

Is it that hard to only use the left lane to ONLY pass, even if people are going faster then the posted speed limit they are going to do it whether you are in the left lane or not, it is much more safe for the people who have to speed and everyone else if you limit the amount of lane changes they have to do like I said either way they are going to speed whether it is them swerving in and out of traffic to do so or having the whole lane to themselves, which sounds safer to you?

Which driving school teaches you to "SPEED" 5 to 15 mph over the speed limit? Can you tell me which class that was taught in?

You didn't answer the question. Again, you're the one saying that it is absolutely unsafe to go faster than the limit, so can you answer the question? My position is consistent: drive safely and sometimes you can do that higher than the speed limit. Reality proves this.

Your position is the inconsistent one. You say it's the "SPEEDERS" that are making things unsafe, but you consistently avoid the fact that forcing passes on the right is less safe, and that you condone racing.
