Because it's NOT a dangerous situation. If the driver in the actual turn lane stays in the right lane, per the law, then the guy taking the extra right turn takes the left lane.
No danger there.
Traffic turning right is allowed to select any lane. So maybe those people should just cut it wide and we'll see who gets the ticket. | |

A MPD officer will get right on that. They read these boards too... we call them LUKER'S. there's also the traffic hot line that you can call and report people...
Traffic hot line 520-316-6919.
All you have to do is grab your cell phone and take a picture of the illegal turn and call this number. Offer the PD your picture as proof. The offender gets a nice big WARNING in the mail. It goes into the log and then if that person ever is pulled over by the cops for the same thing they were warned about... Judge isn't going to LIKE IT!
as a matter of fact... I think I will call in a complaint now... and if we all do it... they will patrol that turn lane.

I of course was blocking him so he couldn't turn, and I sat there for 3 lights,,,,, he was so pissed!!!!! I was laughing my but off, everyone that waited patienlty in line was turning and he was stuck. It made my day. Copa I hope it was you that I inconvenienced. | |

Alert | I see this every single day. This morning there was one vehicle in the thru lane clearly trying to turn right on to the 347. Key word being 'trying' as there were too many cars for him to pull out. Behind him pulls up another vehicle. Clearly inconvenienced by the first vehicle still waiting to turn (illegally), vehicle number two drives through the "island" between the turn lane and thru lane and pulls out into traffic.
