Because there was no reason for him to be driving that fast.

He could have had any number of medical situations that would have caused him to lose control like that. In that case it would not be murder. I think people are a little hasty with the tar and feathers around here.

Yes, he may have been having a stroke which caused his foot to press the gas pedal all the way to the floor prior to losing control of his arms which caused him to swerve into the median at 111MPH and becoming airborne and flying into the Jeep....(woosh...air going back into lungs...did I need a comma there ).
The loss of control could have been many things. But going 111MPH at the time of the accident is a bit tough to substantiate.
Cutting the air bag out of his car wasn't very responsible either....okay, it was stolen the night before from the police parking lot.

That's it then. The death of the officer was not caused by excessive speed. He was killed by a thief that stole his airbag.

Nobody would justify doing 110 on the 347,

There is one justification for a normal citizen to be doing 110 on 347. Can anyone figure it out?

They just did a spell on Fox News about it. Stating going 111 mph in a 45 mph and that he had been stopped the week before for speeding.

Very sad indeed.

You said re-run. I hadn't seen it on the news. Very sad to put a face to the story.

Page one didn't have a picture of him.

LMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just the good ol' boys,
Never meanin' no harm,
Beats all you've ever saw, been in trouble with the law since the day they was born.

Straight'nin' the curve,
Flat'nin' the hills.
Someday the moutain might get 'em, but the law never will.

Makin' their way,
The only way they know how,
That's just a little bit more than the law will allow.

Just good ol' boys,
Wouldn't change if they could,
Fightin' the system like a true modern day Robin Hood.
