I'm quite familiar with his writing style and am reasonably certain he was only joking.

other than in very rare occasions, babues are not born in the space of an hour or so. you get plenty of notice that little one is on the way. it seems to make way more sense to me to have a plan ready </div>

Ahhh, that is not so true! I have 2 children, labor with the first one was 2 hours and labor with the second was 45 minutes. When they were small I belonged to a moms group/bible study, they did a survey with all the moms and I didn't have the shortest labor! Very few of the moms there had long labors. You just never know. My cousin had 24 hour labor and my aunt (3 kids) no labor longer than an hour. If you are going to plan ahead, make sure you are prepared for everything!

Congrats on the baby, however, that was a very risky move you pulled. What you should have done was called the police and asked them to escort you to the hospital. If I were already going 70 I WOULD NOT have altered my driving for you no matter the situation. We are not mind readers out there. It is best to let the HP know you are out there so YOU don't get pulled over.
