Going No where fast. 1/2 mile before Casa Blanca at 7:00 am.

OMG! Sinbad taking a picture while driving with a baby in the car. Child endangerment! Call the cops! Everyone block him in until they arrive! LOL...

It was a fun morning

Left for work at 5.50am... it took us 50 minutes to get from the quarry light to Riggs

At 7:15 I had the same idea as 1/2 of Maricopa and took Casa Blanca, not too bad. The kids were only 15 minutes late to school. After all that and not knowing how long it would take me to get home I had to make a pit stop. So I ended up heading back to Maricopa at about 9am. The light at Riggs was working and it was smooth sailing into town. Would be really nice to have some sort of traffic news in the morning so we could leave early if need be.

On the bright side one Maricopaian told me of all the beautiful dragon flies they got to see and we saw a coyote.

LOL... Only if you are Paris Hilton or Britney Spears.... LOL

Just doing it one day at a time. Change is good and it should be looked upon as an improvment! not a problem.

I took Casa Blanca, after seeing the long line right to that point...and it wasn't much better going through Casa Blanca to the STOP SIGN at the I-10 overpass.

And then I saw 5 or 6 DPS cars with their lights on at the side of the NB I-10 with a black Jetta or something that was way off the road 50 feet or so, like maybe they had chased it or something...no sign of a driver.

My Reality Check Just Bounced...

WHY OH WHY is it soooooooo hard for law enforcement to realize that help is needed to make things move along better when there are problems. This is not only Maricopa Law Enforcement, but county as well. It's not rocket science!!! CITY COUNCIL, please get some agreements in place with local law enforcement! Without you making these agreements to get involved in traffic problems, no one will want to move to Maricopa when they hear about the problems.

According to my hubby: Riggs is a Maricopa county intersection...meaning that a Maricopa Sheriff should have been there directing traffic if not a DPS officer! BUT because a camera crew were not there Sheriff Joe Arpaio didnt dispatch anybody!! Once again it is Az's DPS/Sheriff dept at its finest!!-He even called to complain and was told a traffic light is out and crews are on their way to fix it BUT no traffic officer would not be dispatched WTH??

Your hubby is technically right, that intersection is within Maricopa County. However, more appropriately, it falls within the Gila River Indian Community. So if DPS was not there to handle an event on a state highway, a Gila River PD unit would have been the next choice. Not MCSO.
