Ok, just how fast WAS that dump truck of stone going yesterday morning when it rolled over on the I-10 entrance from Queen Creek? What's up with that!!??!! Didn't think that tank would roll?

The drivers aren't usually college educated individuals if you know what I mean. That one missed physics in grade school the day they did Newton’s laws. Fast turns with top heavy trucks usually doesn’t end well. I mean look at the garbage trucks and how fast some of them drive down 347. I got passed by one the other morning and I was doing over 75mph.

People still haven't figured out that there are two right turn lanes. When I came home the other day, the exit was backed up onto I-10 and almost no one was taking the second right turn lane.

just today on my way home from work i took the middle lane to make a right hand turn, and the truck in front of me decided he was going to turn left. i wish they would do a little more to make it noticeable that it is a right turn only now. it just frustrates me to no end!!

It will take years for stupid people to learn to read street signs. I watched someone rearend someone there who pulled up with right signal on like they were going to go... then they stopped and wanted to make a left bam the lady hit him. I personal think that guy should be at fault for falsing stating his turn(signal), leading everyone to believe he was making the right by moving forward, and while moving forward facing his vehicle in the direction of making a right!

That is truly a hope and a dream there. Stupid people tend to be everywhere and get away with the dumb "I didn't see it" or "I didn't know it" line all day long. I think he should have been sited but I didn't stick around to find out. Left my business card with Ph# and that is it.

the good thing about the law is that there is one that states "ignorace is not an excuse". i'm sure he never got cited though, he was rear-ended, so the person who tagged his bumper is the one who got cited. very unfortunate!

I am sure the lady did get sited for inattention, or failure to control speed to avoid a accident, or something dumb like that. Stupid people shouldn't breed...

The person who rear-ended her was probably the only person to be cited.. it doesn't matter what the lady was doing.. they were in the wrong.. and it was THERE responsibility to ensure they can move forward in a safe manner..

If there is one thing a PO will tell you.. is that they usually only write tickets for things they can prove.. in this case.. "failure to control a vehicle"

I figured. I worked for a rental car company long enough in risk management to learn plenty about stupid people. Again they shouldn't breed no matter if they were not in the wrong here or not. If you can't read the street signs take their license and get them off our roads. I mean for crying out loud you can take the driving test in 5 different languages... yet our signs are only in one. So if you can't understand the right arrow only symbol then you do not deserve the privilege of driving a 2 ton killing machine because that is what will happen. They will kill someone due to the lack of understanding the street signs they look at. It is a privilege to drive a car it is not a right! People need to understand they need to properly and safely earn that privilege! I worry daily when my wife gets in the car to go to work what some stupid person that shouldn’t be driving might do to her. I have dealt with many of these people when I was in risk management and they think their dumbness/stupidity/ignorance, what have you, is an excuse and it is not when you potentially have my life in your hands. So the woman should have made sure he was clear I agree but he was waiting to make an illegal turn and his ignorance is allowing him to not be at fault. Yes you can prove she hit him but I could honestly state I saw him attempting to make a right turn then decide he wanted to make a illegal left causing the accident. You can get a ticket in this state for being the cause of an accident even if your vehicle never touches another or gets involved. If you come into someone else’s lane and they hit someone else to avoid you, you are at fault if it is proven you were the cause. Was he not the cause of this accident? Thoughts?

I don't disagree with you.. but the PO isn't going to waste his time (and I agree) with a non-fatal, 2-car fender-bender..

while the lady was in the wrong and being an idiot.. it doesn't excuse the responsibility of the person behind her to ensure a safe and clear path..

another example of something similiar... you're at a stop sign.. you ease forward... your car dies and you suddenly stop.. the person behind you rear ends you.. are you at fault?

Agreed but I ask back as a devils advocate. Was the person at the stop sign making a illegal operation with the vehicle at the time of the accident. Basically I think it was the rear persons fault but it is more of a 60/40 split since the other person was braking the law just the same. Just my thoughts good discussion going!

Even from a devil's advocate standpoint, the person hitting the car in front of them is solely at fault in the accident. Why? There is a requirement for everyone to stop before making a right on red, as well as the fact that there is no requirement to turn right on red.
