Alert | The MPD is concentrating on the numbers on the radar so hard, they miss the red light/stop sign runners. Great job!

Alert | 6mph over is so dangerous! i mean, really...it is! how often does someone die from going 6mph over, as compared to the safe behavior of running a red light?
i say, go maricopa PD, do your thing!

Alert | | Bingo. I'm wondering where they find all these speeders. Every time I come into and out of Maricopa traffic is held up by someone going under the limit. | | Joined: Jul 2005

Yeah, and not about the red light runners that have almost killed me. If people can complain about speeding, surely I can complain about all the red light runners that they aren't going after. | | Joined: Jul 2005

im with jason on this one...ive been almost hit/maimed/killed by far more people running red lights than i have been by people speeding.

They're doing their jobs by slowing people down and saving you money on gas and tickets. See, it does work!

and taking time away from people's lives all to feel like they can control something! Good for them. Oh wait. They're not police, and they have no business trying to enforce the laws. In fact, when you drive under the speed limit, esp. in the left lane, and try to block people from passing, you are the danger on the road. Such people need their licenses revoked.

Alert | | Jason's customary exageration aside, I'll broach the red light subject at next weeks meeting with the Chief. Love it or hate it look at the impact MPD has had since taking over enforcement of our city. Since they started population and traffic has increased while fatalaties have decreased. That's a good start.
