He has time to lobby for a railroad bypass but no time to lobby for expansion of the 347. He sure is doing a fine job.

His house is probably near the railroad tracks, but he doesn't need to commute out of town for work so the traffic doesn't bother him.

You actually expect the Mayor to care about an issue like the 347? All the city government in Maricopa does is pass the buck regarding one of our biggest issues. They say it's out of their jurisdiction and up to ADOT and the state government to take care of.
Our current city government bites and hopefully all the Council seats up for election are filled with some new blood and I'm happy we'll have a new Mayor.
They are who we thought they were!

Talks-Talks-Talks I've been reading this exact same story re-packaged for a few years now. It will become an ACTUAL story when the Mayor can say, "Here is what we're going to do, and here's when it will start." I do appreciate the effort, but it's results we are looking for. As always we have no new ones.

I believe the Mayor does care, he has a vested interest in the success of our city. There's probably a lot he's doing behind the scenes, that we're not privy to. I believe he has however, been ineffective in advancing this issue.

ahh....
Did anyone miss the part where it said that the real reason was to talk about Aviation!!!
THE AIRPORT!!!!!!
Just doing it one day at a time. Change is good and it should be looked upon as an improvment! not a problem.

Yes we read the story......and then the topic changed to the 347, hence these posts. My original point was any story on this road ends with, "continued talks", but never anything concrete.

Ever think he's choosing a battle he has a chance of winning?

There is a higher chance he is doing something to raise his property value and in his own self interest. The town management has been ineffective and only looked out for themselves so I have no reason to believe this is for the greater good.
