If there was a petition to put a stop light at the four way stop at Honeycutt and Porter roads, would you sign it?

Only if it is accompanied with a petition to have Maricopa Drivers take a driving test every 2 years.

I think they are going to have to put one in when Walmart comes...that intersection will be pretty busy then. I think the only time its bad is when Legacy is in session. It wasnt too bad the last couple of weeks. But I do know what you mean...during those peak hours it is congested!
Have Denna Brokovich use her connections and get a light there.

edit: the smiley's aren working...;(

Denna Brokovich...haha! Only in her dreams.

Seriously though, my poor windshield has taken a verbal beating the last couple of days! I came home one day and asked my husband how he felt about my driving, because either I am the problem or other people are just that clueless!

Don't get me wrong, I have made mistakes that I am not too proud of. BUT, I have never been in an accident. This last week, I have been in almost 2 because of people who feel they have the right of way when doing a California stop. The lady this morning never even looked in my direction before turning right in front of me. Unfortunately, I drive a tin can, so I would lose that battle.

I agree with you, AlanF! I agree 100%!

More times than not, I find myself scratching my head wondering if it is me! I am sooooo glad to know I am not the only one! I am surprised there haven't been more accidents or more fist fights at that intersection.

I am not a violent person but with an incident every other, to every day, it is ridiculous! I wouldn't mind beating the crap out of a stupid person just for the sheer satisfaction of teaching them how to properly use a 4 way stop! I am all for a light there. Make the light a proper light during the day, during busy hours, then make it a flashing yellow/flashing red at night. Or even a four way stop at night.

Just call the city transportation department and ask if they have or are going to conduct a signal warrant analysis at this intersection.

Hmmm, not sure this link will work right, but the advice to contact the city transportation department was good advice. Ya know how we post about the Honeycutt/238/347/RR track mess? Look at the options presented and send in your comments!
