As far as not paying photo tickets, I'd watch that, they are very sophisticated now and provide you with a link to a video where you can actually watch yourself in your car speeding, side view, front view, rear view with plates. If I was speeding and got one, I would certainly rather pay it or go to court, than having a warrant out.</div>
That doesn't mean you have to pay it. They have to serve you with the ticket personally, like come to your door and have you admit that you are you (or at least have an adult say you live there). The only way you get a warrant out is if you answer the door and take the ticket and then don't pay it. I got one before and happened to move out of my parents' house a few months later, and my parents told them every time they came to the door that I didn't live there and they weren't sure of my address, lol. There is a website you can check to see if they are still pursuing you to make you pay the ticket or not; they dropped mine after a few months. Haven't gotten one since.

I got 'flashed' by the van the other day... does anyone know if they are still giving out warnings or will I be getting one extra xmas gift from DPS this year??? Also, it was about 6pm pretty much dark out. You can't see the warning signs after dark... does this make any difference?

It's up to the judge really. There are these two clauses in your favor:

1. At least two signs shall be placed in a location before a photo enforcement system. One sign shall be in a location that is approximately three hundred feet before the photo enforcement system. Placement of additional signs shall be more than three hundred feet before a photo enforcement system to provide reasonable notice to a person that a photo enforcement system is present and operational.

C. Signs erected by a local authority or agency of this state as prescribed in this section shall contain a yellow warning notice and correlate with and as far as possible conform to the system set forth in the most recent edition of the manual on uniform traffic control devices for streets and highways adopted by the director pursuant to section 28-641.

If it was dark enough and the signs weren't reflective, then you may have grounds. Depends on the judge, should it go that far.

Today I saw the sign up about speeding enforcement but I didn't see the van anywhere....DPS runs a strange operation.
