 Alert | | A sign warning about photo enforcement. I have never seen their signs up for that van. Today was the first day I have actually seen a sign for these guys. Has anyone gotten a ticket from one of these? I would go to court for sure since there have never been signs before now. | | | |

Did you miss the other threads about photo enforcement? Several people (including myself) have reported that they have not had signs out and by law they are required to.
Not only that but they've had the van in an area where there are ambiguous speed limits. | |

Alert | There were actually two signs yesterday! I've seen them also everytime I've seen the sign. Love the people that slam on their breaks, drive past the van and then slam their breaks again because there is a cop following the construction cleaner thing.
While I'm at it I would like to thank the car that took the space that wasn't big enough for him yesterday morning on the I-10 overpass. I needed to see what my max heart rate was, thanks. *end sarcasm* | | | |

Alert | | As far as not paying photo tickets, I'd watch that, they are very sophisticated now and provide you with a link to a video where you can actually watch yourself in your car speeding, side view, front view, rear view with plates. If I was speeding and got one, I would certainly rather pay it or go to court, than having a warrant out. | | | |

They don't put out a warrant, they might serve you a real ticket if you ignore the snitch sheet that they send you, which has no legal weight. | |

The purpose of photo radar is not to catch people speeding, it is to act as a deterrent so people don't speed.
One sign is required 300 feet before and then another one more than three 300 feet before. The vehicle itself must also be marked indicating it is a photo enforcement vehicle. | |
