If anyone lives in Maricopa and works in Tempe can you give me some ideas on the easiest way to get there?
I work at I-10 and Baseline and I noticed the other morning on my way into town that 347 and I-10 were backed up.
I don't mind having to make the drive - if I did I wouldn't have moved here - but I was just wondering what the best legal route was to take, if there was one other than 347.

Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Does anyone take Murphy on a daily basis? Is it or is it not a road we can take without getting busted?

Was I-10 backed up? Or was the 347 backed up when you exited the I-10?

1. If the 347 was backed up, then you can go further south and take Casa Blanca and connect back to the 347.

2. Drive even further south and connect to 387, then connect to Val Vista (westward), to 238 (westward)

Note: Arizona Ave (aka: 87 & 587) connects to I-10 which connects to Casa Blanca and Nelson). Just depend on whether or not you want to take a long detour.

We came into town at 7:45 am and the 10 was backed up past the casa grande exit and the 347 was a mad house of course.

I will try one of those ways - maybe all to see what is the best.

Not sure what traffic is like at 6 am but I will give them all a shot!
Thanks

Does anyone know what 347 is like between 6 and 6:30?

i drove it for the first time this morning to work, left my house at 6:20am and it was smooth as silk. There seem to be backups as you approach the lights on the road, but you move through relatively quickly.

I guess the main road is the best road then!
I figured I was going to probably have to take that.

Friday is the first morning I am driving in so I hope it's ok.

if you leave your house by 6am, then you should be okay. it takes about 15-20 mins. from 347 and the track to I-10, if traffic flows well.

i don't like people who uses "signature" on their profile. TAKE IT OFF!!!

I do that drive every day only I go all the way to Priest and Washington. I say its better to be early then late. Most mornings I said right through and have time to stop for a cup of coffee but sometimes like this morning I got to work right on time (no coffee for me).

I guess if you just plan on the worst then you will be fine. Good luck with your drive!

Thanks sarahc!
I am going to try leaving at 6 and see how long it takes. I guess I just have to do some adjusting if it's too close to 7 by the time I get in.
I appreciate it - I agree with you though - rather be early than late that's for sure.

Thanks for the advice!

It was good. Not as bad as I thought it would be.
I got on Maricopa Road around 6:10 and got to work about 5 minutes to 7. I am going to have to leave a few minutes earlier but it wasn't that bad.
My fiancee who works right off Price Rd and Queen Creek Road left at 6:45 and got there around 7:30 so again, not too bad for him either. YEA I am glad it isn't bumper to bumper.
Tonight will be my first time coming home down Maricopa Road at 4. Wonder how that is going to be! LOL

Most of the helmets seem to be on the road in the mornings rather in the afternoons on the way home, just an observation of mine. Hope your driving experience has been a good one thus far on the 347, Miss Nicolena1.
